Tour Description
This wonderful wildlife-filled tour takes you to Phillip Island to see the fascinating Little Penguins. You’ll also visit Warrook Homestead, the Koala Conservation Centre, a wildlife park and many other beautiful locations.
• Visit Warrook Homestead for afternoon tea (own expense) where you can get up close to kangaroos and other Australian Wildlife.
• See a variety of animals at Phillip Island’s Nature Park and the Koala Conservation Centre
• See some stunning scenery at the Nobbies, the Blowhole and Seal Rocks
• Learn all about Little Penguins (Fairy Penguins) at the Penguin Parade Visitors Centre
After meeting at your Melbourne accommodation or at Federation Square East (corner of Flinders and Russell Sts), you’ll meet your fellow penguin lovers and welcoming guide before boarding your comfortable coach and setting off towards Phillip Island. On the way, you’ll experience glorious panoramic views overlooking Western Port, French Island and the famous San Remo fishing village.
Your first stop will be to Warrook Homestead. At this fascinating farm, you’ll be able to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea (own expense), as well as explore the park and get up close to kangaroos and other Australian Wildlife. You’ll get to interact with kangaroos, wallabies, and more!
At the Koala Conservation Centre, you can spot koalas in their natural habitat while you walk along the treetop boardwalk. You’ll stroll along the boardwalk at the Nobbies and see the Blowhole and Seal Rocks, as well as the resident seals, who will charm you with their cheekiness.
Next, it’s on to Summerland Beach to see the gorgeous Little Penguins at the Penguin Parade. Before the main show though, you’ll have the chance to wander around the visitor’s centre, where you can learn everything you’ve ever wanted to know about Little Penguins, as well as buy a souvenir or two to take home with you. Then, heading over to seating area, where you’ll watch in awe as hundreds of absolutely adorable Little Penguins march up from the ocean on their way to their sand dune burrows for the night.
A stop for dinner (at own expense) is included in this tour, and – depending upon the season – will occur before or after the Penguin Parade. At the end of your tour, you’ll head back to Melbourne and be dropped back at your original pickup location at either 9 pm during the winter months, or 11:30 pm during summer.
